Feeding Benji for the 1st time in Hong Kong through his g-tube (18 months old)
Lots of progress!! Eating ice cream with a cone!! (5 years old)Benji has been eating gluten for the past 3 days and so far so good! He hasn't had any visible symptoms of pain or discomfort and he LOVES everything we've given him - cheeseburger with a bun, ice cream with a cone, crackers, pasta, and Girl Scout cookies!! It is so easy to take for granted that we can swallow correctly without thinking about it, drink thin liquids and eat any kind of food without getting sick. He smiled the biggest smile when I handed him that cheeseburger and I think the best part was that he was getting to eat the same thing as "sissy". He looked over at her and together they took a big bite. The hard part now is having to tell him to stop ; ) The boy doesn't know when he's full. We'll keep doing the diet for a couple weeks and then retest his blood. Keep praying!
